AS2435 Airbrake Hose Assemblies

"Glad Hand" or breakaway coupling assemblies, sometimes called "Hosebags" are available in standard sizes 1-1/4", 1", 3/4" and 1/2" types, with BSP or NPT nipple threads. 

Special assemblies of uncommon length, nipples both ends and other variations can be made.

Most standard Brake Pipe, Main Reservoir, Control and Independent Release (CP and IRP - #3 and #4) hose assemblies are in stock and available for immediate delivery.

AAR Type Airbrake Hose Assemblies

Sigra’s AAR Type Air Brake hose assemblies are manufactured in a variety of sizes and configurations. Designed for applications such as wagon / truck mounted brakes (e.g. TMX and Triax), articulated joint connections and Intermediate train lines.

  • Machine Crimped construction using AAR Standard M-618 hose

  • Available with 1/2", 3/4" and 1-1/4” Flange sizes, Straight or 90° Elbow and to any length required.

  • Oil-resistant synthetic elastomer inner tube. Sizes -16, -20 and -24 feature two carbon steel wire braids and a textile braid. Oil, weather, and abrasion-resistant synthetic elastomer outer cover.

  • Hose is embossed per AAR Regulation M-618.

UIC/DIN EN Standard Airbrake Hose Assemblies & Fittings

Sigra’s range of UIC/DIN EN compliant airbrake hoses are manufactured and tested to ensure unsurpassed quality.

  • All hose assemblies are made in accordance with UIC541-1 & DIN EN15807 requirements and all rubber hose is manufactured to UIC830-1/DIN EN 15807.

  • Sigra hose assemblies use a machine crimped construction for increased reliability and service life. Machine crimping increases the tensile strength of the hose assembly (16kN) and also increases resistance to fatigue in service.

  • Banded construction hoses and a full range of hose and fittings is also available for purchase.
